Only a tiny little bit pants (thong????). Body Shop is hardly OTT, and you resisted a lot of evil things!!!!
But why are you buying books?????? We have a big building in our town where you get them for free - called a library!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hey fishface, sorry to hear about your loss - I agee on the ring though, you'll wnat something to help remind you of your gran. I put the money my gran left me into my wool shop, which is why I fight so hard to keep it going.
Shame about the diving gear - my ebaying has slowed a bit at the mo, but amazon is still trickling in. Well done on resisting evil - when I got a backpayment from WTC I was so tempted to g out and pend it all on DD, but was good and spent the day phoning debtors and paying things like the electric off. Makes you feel really good, doesn't it?
Looks like you're doing well at gthe moment, keep it up!This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hey ff you're right to buy something to remind you of your nan and well done on resisting the mp3 player yesterday.
I love that 'save karyn' book and I have kept mine cos I re read it all the time. I like it because just like her going to new york is the cause of half my debt in the first place. Used to go 4 times a yearbefore splitting with ex OH.(I think shopping is my comfort thing and cake!!) I went again this February gone as my mum and OH paid for me. I spent £200 on stuff and then promptly sold it all on ebay as I felt so guilty:mad: when I got home.

Hi all, thanks for the encouragement! Ali I got the book cos (a) It was 1p (b) Bet I can sell at a profit (c) Doubted that the library would have it and well...1p I figured I could get away with!! Do keep meaning to go to libary as there is a newly converted one about a minute away!!
New York...I just LOVE the place!! When I was in my splurge peak I paid for my mum to go for a week...a block from Maceys...PMSL when I read the description of the first time she went in as v. sim to mine & they had the flower show on when I went so even more so!! Have to say I preferred the posher one though & thought Maceys was a bit tacky...would LOVE to live there! Mind you people in NY are SOOOOO rude arent they eh!! The book is going to amazon in a mo!! Will let you know if I make a profit! Off to pack up ebay stuff, list 2 more things & tidy up - house is a tip! I have a nice canal trip with a friend this afternoon (£3!) so need to tidy and sort out box for car boot as she;s going to keep some in her garage...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hey fishface
(does anyone else feel uncomfortable calling her that?!)
Sorry to hear about your granny - the ring sounds like a beautiful idea, and I'm sure is something she would have appreciated.
Well done for resisting the mp3 player - it has been a timely reminder to me that the wicked shopping imp is still lurking in the background, just waiting to make us buy things
Have a great time on the canal0 -
he he Mia - try ff instead - I dont actually LOOK like a fish - its a nickname from my mum...she's never said I look like a fish anyway! Think it had something to do with swallowing a fishbone& refusing to touch the stuff....Ali, alas Mol has banned me from all talk of underwear so am unable to comment on the size of my pantsness!! Oberon diving gear didnt sell; so on again but I think last time before I try free ads as 3rd time & with 200 starting list price getting expensive. Had a lovely time on canal & stopped in asda for drink on way home & got a plant from B&Q (the other one died - lack of water I am told?!!)...cheapish day out (15.70) but have stuffed the budget this month. Not being too hard on myself as I am already 400 up on what I was at the start of the month! Also reminded me that I am not a hermit as MUST make more effort to see friends. - some even owe me food so silly not to eh!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Oh no! I never banned anyone! I even said we'd be happy to hear all about the pants provided that you kept on posting!! So, bloomers, gussets, thongs, hipster boy shorts, french knickers, pantaloons!!!fishface-69 wrote:Also reminded me that I am not a hermit as MUST make more effort to see friends. - some even owe me food so silly not to eh!!
Totally true - after all, its one of the reasons we are all trying so hard to become DF. What's the point in becoming DF if we lose track of our mates in in the process and have no one to share it with at the end. Don't beat yourself up about the spending, I'm blaming on the heat.
Hope you have a fab day in London town.Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

Hi all, back from a LOOONG day in London but lovely as got to see my "babies" who are no longer babies & as predicted taller than me! Had a lovely day; saw our old house (same curtains there 13 years later!), had lunch in Battersea park which we used to go to every day and then a bit at London Zoo before I had to leave to get the bus home. Nearly 8 hours on a bus so back is killing me but worth it!! SOOO hot and forgot how unfriendly people in London are - so good to be back in friendly Cardiff and, while I love London, love here more!! Spent a bomb but mainly on taxis etc as not enough time/energy for busses so have had my first "stuff it" day but will be back onto DFW from tomorrow! My old boss gave me 200 fags so that pretty much covers the day on what I saved so good & didnt pay for lunch/zoo so all good! Off to have early night as need to be in work early tomorrow...PS Mol know I wasnt banned from pants REALLY & will, of course keep posting!! LONG way to go and you dont get rid of me that easily..!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

My friend asked me to go with her one day in the future, and her colour cut and blow only costs her about £10.This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
