Thanks all..just felt low yesterday...feel a bit better today and had an earlyish night last night. Have now had 2 spend free days in a row & seriously felt quite in NEED of a shop but managed to resist...I want to check what I need for hols (what clothes fit/what dont!) and have a nice relaxed day out with friend rather than rushing in my lunch hour (not that I had one today!) seeing as shopping now such a rare event! Slight glitch in my budget as may need to go to London for the day next week but will get the bus as takes hours but about £75 less than driving or train (train £132 return)...too late to get a cheapie ticket but still not had confirmation that they are coming (my old boss and boys I nannied from when they were 6wks old - bet they're taller than me now!!)...will be lovely to see them though but will mean going slightly over budget...anyway...must go & check bank balance & whether diving gear been bid on ...lots of + vibes please...as of lunch time there were still no bids!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Well girls (& boys if you want to join in!) vibes didnt work for the diving gear - listing just ended unsold so have relisted starting at 200...third time lucky! One bit of fab news though is that I've been left £5000 so in about a month my debt would come down alot which is great. After much deliberation going to pay it of CC...did want to pay a loan off but its 3000 short & borrowing off C to so it seemed silly although mighty tempting! Am off to find food...have got another cracking migraine - unsure of its weather or stress but fed up of them as have had about 5 this month which even for me is loads!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Yeah fishface, great news!!!!!
Hope your migraine is feeling better. I've had a cracking headache since Sat night (need to see osteopath if it doesn't settle), so am trying to keep busy so I don't notice it. Not working v well though.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hiya! Migraine still niggling but way better than last night. Think its the weather...decided what to do with the money that my granny has left. I didnt want to put it all to debt as feel that I should get something special as well as paying off. Have decided to put £500-700 toward a ring I designed & then pay debts off with the rest. Some DFW's I know will disagree with this but my granny was, in line with my mum, really special to be and it feels wrong to put it all to debt. This way is a compromise as I will have to save some to get it (its platinum, 4 diamonds & an emerald) but is something that will be really special...just hope I dont get mugged! Anyway gives me an incentive to save too! Had an OK day in work and another no spender! So far this week all I've spent money on is petrol!! Have to say it must be a first!! Was going to M&S to look for cossie (I sold mine on ebay thinking I wouldnt be going on hol...oops...it was too big anyway but a slight bummer!!) but will wait a bit! Hope your heads are better girls? Like you ali I have to go & get clicked every now & again but sure this is the weather...quite muggy here!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Thanks fishface, head a bit better! I think you're right to get a nice reminder of your granny - my gran only left a little bit of money but i used it to buy a gem tree thingy - even though she died 20 yrs ago I still think of her when I see it.
Have just bought cooker from Boots.com (no, I didn't know either!), 6.5% back with quidco & £13 points, but couldn't find double points..... shame.

It's WELL muggy here. I've opened all the windows and it's not making much of a difference which is just as well as I'll have to close em all again when the OH gets in as he's a wreck with hayfever at the mo!
I think you're right to get a reminder of your gran. Somethings are just more important that money sometimes.

Umm...think I could enter the "I'm a bit pants" section! Main problem was finding out that I had money coming to me, which took some of the fear away and like all good shopping addicts rediscovered the "I must have" mentality! Got into my head that I NEEDED an MP3 player & like all good DFW's went to research! Thankfully I didnt get onw as just could NOT spend £100 on something that my sony walkman does but a bit bigger! Did get shampoo etc from bodyshop (closest I can get to Aveda me thinks!!) and £14 of food from M&S but all losses covered by ebay sales! Didnt buy any clothes either so all in all a good day but need to be mindful and realised that the shopping frenzy feeling not gone so will once again avoid the shops but v. proud that despite being in shops didnt succumb...oohhh with teh exception of teh Corrine Bayley Rae album which I got with teh £10 Tesco voucher my lovely mum sent! Just read "Save Karyn" which was a good reas and will be on an Amazon site near you soon!! Taking much better care of my books than I used to! Off to watch a treaty dvd - havent watched one for months so really is a treat!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
