Would this new job take you below the SL repayment level? If so, it might be worth saving the extra money generated in an ISA and click the 2% margin."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

No, unfortunately not (well, not unfortunately but you know what I mean). It's with me for a little while longer yet. I know it makes no sense from a snowballing point of view but I just want to get this one out of the way now that it's a small balance and then I can get cracking on the humungous egg loan. A psychological boost if you will

Hello ladies,
After my trying-to-be-supportive email today - I have bad news - 1lb on! Oh man! Well after being away at the weekend and having the odd bad thing - I'm honestly quite pleased! I really need a kick up the bum and I think this will help. I'm going to aim for 2lbs off this week so I am majorly motivated now!
How is everything fishy? I'm missing your updates - how was your day on Monday and whats all the news?
scottishspendaholic xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500

Did want to ask a dilemma/question as its bothering me/upset me. I went to see a neighbor who is ill & offered to do shopping & she declined but I got the impression she did need things but didnt like to ask. Anyway upshot is she had no money so I said I was happy to get it for her & she could give me money next week (knowing I may never get it back but was more than happy to help even if I didnt - her situation is FAR worse than mine). Anyway got shopping & delivered it & as I did she asked if she could borrow £5. I know I may be being silly. I dont mind about the shopping, even if I never get the money back but felt a bit used/taken advantage of when she asked to borrow money..
? is am I being unreasonable? I said I would lend it to her (but didnt have £5 so will drop in tomorrow). Again I know I may never get this back & not that bothered about this but just felt upset/hurt that she asked...is it me?
I have one of those Bagpuss air freshners aswell, plus a Bagpuss mobile phone cover and a Yawning Bagpuss:rotfl: Btw I'm just outside Caerphilly. How's your back now?Tesco: £1361.19, Vanquis: £2644.73, Very: £563.08, Next: £1636.95, M&S: £1049.92. As of 5th February 2024. Slava Ukraini0 -

Mon was lovely altho my bestest mate got stuck in traffic on M4 but when taking into account that someone was killed makes that irrelivant eh! We got a few lovely chatty hours tog was lovely to treat her to lunch! (affordibly!). Got my car back yesterday & as always notning simple as had to wait 1 3/4 hours for it to be ready & take it back this am for the winscreen water thingy to be fixed (techinial me!). Lovely to have her & bagpuss back! Neighbor (see Sat) popped in with the money she owed & all OK there - invited her in for tea which she may take me up on later in wk so pleased about that. Other neighbor did my washing for me & said she;d kill me if I got her wine!! Lovely to feel practically emotionally supported & able to support too!! Pain not great so as suhhestedby Mia am going to have accupuncture on Sat - wont help the CC but as all on 0% am OK & will catch up & hopefully get it paid back by insurers...if not thats OK - just want to stop pain - phisio & excercises helping tho! DFW wise doing OK. Payday tomorrow so apologies for thinking it was a week away!! Scary how fast time goes! Never mind re 1ib on SS - dread to think what my scales will say!! Have decided that I'm bored genrally so must find some excercise I like...had a look on internet today & nothing inspired me...any suggestions? May ring my pilates woman as I have some sessions owing but paid over a year ago so should use them & may help back!! What am I like eh! (Lazy cow actually!!).
Weebettes Ali wants to join us if thats OK & she'll PM Mol the gory details!! How you doing Eltan? Thanks for emails re photos - not a huge amount changed so MUST get back on track..me no want to be a weeble no more!!AM hoping Pete will win BB due to my bet (one of the quidco bets I placed montsh ago!). fab news is my birkenstocks arrived today (quidco!) & are yummy - worth the months hunting altho wish I could have got a non branded pair - all I have to do now is chuck out the really stinky sandals!! Also got the hang of pigsback at last & following daily links on here so hopefully will win something but £5.90 up already!! Thats me! Hope you all OK!! Hugs all & enjoy the last day before starting "the challenge!!"...Anyone else been cleaning more since DFW - have noiced that my house is much cleaner but must confess am not a fan of stardrops - really bad on hands/nails 7 seeing as I cant afford manicures anymore...I do my own but not the same is it eh!

well done mol!!!!! 1lb doesn't sound much, but 1 x 52 would be great!!!! so that's 1.923% of the way there!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Wow! Sounds like a great day there, FF. Glad you're trying the acupuncture - if the insurance does pay for it, make sure you keep having treatments (of acu or physio) for a wee while after you feel better. The friend I was telling you about said that she gave up treatments as soon as the pain was gone, but now she can't move her shoulder fully. So it's worth keeping it going for a bit...
Exercise you might like - rollerblading? kayaking? some kind of dancing (ceroc or salsa)? Obviously these all cost more or less money, but free exercise tends to boil down to walking or running. Mind you, I thought I'd hate running, but signed up for a sponsored run for charity last year (just a 5k) with a few friends, and ended up loving it - so you never know! Mind you, with your back being as it is at the mo, maybe swimming's where it's at. Non-weight-bearing and exercises just about everything.
Have fun!0 -

What a great way of looking at it. My sisters and I were intending to lose a pound a week for a year at the start of this year but somehow it never got off the ground. A pound a week until Christmas, starting now seems like a good plan.fishface-69 wrote:Weebettes Ali wants to join us if thats OK & she'll PM Mol the gory details!!
Yep got all the info and have updated the graph will send round once the final two weekly weigh ins are in. Not sure about posting it on here though as the last one got resized as I think it probably takes up too much server space or something. I did see a thread on here about other graphs that you can post on here though which come with the code so when I get a mo I'll look into those.fishface-69 wrote:DFW wise doing OK. So does that mean we get to see an updated debt sig tomorrow? Keep it up hun, you're doing great.

Hi all,
Yes acupunct should help Mia, have had it before & the guy I go to is great £120 for 6 sessions & worth every penny as he does acupuncture & pressure point massage & I relax so much I'm dribbling!
Weighed this am & 14 9 on my scales so about the same as before?
A miracle has occured & I feel I must be part cured. Need to sit down girls for this one. I went to Ikea & came out without a single item!! Nada. Nowt. Ziltch! Never, ever, ever done that before!! Ever!
Am dead impressed with myself!! Also resisted the urge to buy more gin/wine & have been reasonably good food wise! Keep the suggestions coming re excercise! Yes hopefully sig will be updated tom Mol!! Made me laugh that I was trying to get in last shopping before the £1000 challenge starts & STILL couldnt do it!! Some fess up people whose spent BEFORE the start date!! I guess you cant count balance transfers as paying it off eh!! (no, I know!!). How you all getting on? Off to count my coins & sort out diary in readyness for the start tom!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
