Hi all, I'm back!! Have been a good DFW & spent very little while on hol & didnt go over budget which is great! Even got some money left!! Resisted all manner of tat, realised that by stopping at travel agents to enquire about tips that yu can get free drinks all the way to town saving a couple of quid!! Had a lovelt, chilled week just reading, eating yummy turkish food & enjoying two all day boat trips! Only cack think was journeys with Thompson - both flights delayed by at least 3 hours & last nights was 5 so didnt get home until 5am this morning having sat on a concrete airport floor for 5 hours!! Taught a guy how to play backgammon so mde use of time! Washing machine man just fixed machine so washing on, going to have a kip then off to tesco for food shop & locksmith as my front door lock broken but luckily can get local guys to fix it so wont get rippped off!! My grannys money is in so CC sig should go down alot this month meaning that I'm a large step closer to paying them off ...then just have to decide how to tackle the loans (saving & paying off in full early is best me thinks as will loose a bomb if I settle early & take out new early repayment loans due to front loading & higher interest)...Have returned feeling refreshed (ish - cant feel hugely awake with only 3 hours sleep!!) and reenthused! Lovely that my mum commented how much I have changed at my numerous tut tuts, "not paying that" & money saving ideas on hol!! So good to return without more debt too!! Hope you're all ok...the only thing I have failed miserably on is giving up smoking as have decided that I just cannot afford to put on weight with the 5 stone + I alreay lug about so going to tackle weight first!! Sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...just felt it was too much all at once & felt I was setting myself up to fail, as with freezer which is still waiting to defrost & will for a while!

  • Great news fishface! I'm so proud of you (if a wee bit jealous of your holiday - but I know thats naughty!) and pleased that everything is working out for you.

I AM STARTING MY DIET THIS WEEKEND - wanna start a challenge together like lynz and loobylous's shopping challenge? I stopped smoking over 5 years ago and am now getting round to trying to lose weight :o

hi ss! Would love to do a you & me challenge!! Not very good at huge groups (in person or in cyberspace!!). What shall we do?!! I a loathe to do "diet" as they never work for me (the rebel in me being told what to do me thinks!!) but did debate Tesco diet.com as apparently they do shopping list for you! Will have a peek later (off to sleep now for a bit as poopyness catching up on me!!) & you do same & we'll meet up later if thats OK?!! Love your new avatar by the way! Have you rael all Sophie Kinsellas?!! I used to PMSL at the books but the first was def the best by a longshot!! Speak in a bit!

Thanks pinkfairy & bagpuss!! Had a 3 hour sleep (luxuary after no sleep last night!!) & washing on etc...
SS..dont mind you feeling jealous of hol as can wholly understand it but would it help to know that it meant the worst flights ever, sitting on concrete floor for 5 hours etc...prob not but worth a try! Just think when we're debt free we'll all be able to buy our own hols (mum paid for mine!) & SAVE for them!! Looked at Tesco diet & quite expensive. Unsure what your situation is & best way to do it! Mine is 5 ft nowt, single, want to loose loads (weigh about 14 7 on my scales so 10 stone even would be good!! - or even 14 for that!!)...feel very weeblish & this was confirmed by sylph like women in bikinis & not a ounch of cellulite on their g string bikini clad bottoms. Yes girls I did have !!!!!! envy on holiday! Along with boat envy as we on our jam packed boat passed a gleaming gin palace containing 1 scantility clad woman streatched out on deck!! Cow! Anyone got any spare loaded men about? Anyhooo...I have loads of diet cook books (Gilliam McKeaith alo I cant stand her, ww etc) so how about swapping recipes & a weekly weigh in, day to be agreed? I was meant to see my woman at the gym today but postponsed till Tues as feel tired fuzzy so didnt want to drive...let me know what you want to do & feel free to Pm me if you dont want to post weight etc publically! Speak soon all!! Thanks for the welcome back mesages - I did think of you all with a chucckle as I money saved on holiday!! You'd have been proud of me & my haggling was second to none!

HEY fishy, well done on the hols, sooooooooo jealous! Yes, we should find the Impossibly Thin & Good Looking Women and bury them under my patio.

You sound full ofget up and go now, and the boost of getting to reduce your sig will help too. Well done girl, we're all proud of you.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Aww thanks Obi... I sort of feel like I'm cheating with grannys money & also feel really sad that her hard earned cash is going on my debt but know that she would be proud of my efforts as she was always going on about how much I spent!! Regardless of sadness (cos I still miss her desperately too) the 5000 off will be fab as it will spur me on to pay cc of quicker so I can then focus on the loans...
