use for rock-hard strawberry muffins?

Options
Hey all,

I have some home-made strawberry muffins which I popped in the freezer when we weren't getting through them quick enough. Defrosted 2 today and they are rock hard! I hate to throw them out.

Anyone got any suggestions for using them up?
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

could you not use them crumbled up (if you can do that) and put on top of a crumble for pudding?

I'd use them and make a trifle - maybe soak them in a bit of sherry first!
  • You could try warming them up with a blast in the microwave. That often helps with sponge type cakes.

I'd put them in a dish, pour a little of something alcoholic - probably sherry - over them, stick em in the MW for a minute or two, and serve with cream or custard

You could crumble them into bits and mix through ice cream, maybe with some strawberry sauce if you have any. Mmmm...
