Tonight I'd like to go vegi for dinner.
Potatoes and HG purple sprouting, but what to go with them?
OH suggested salad, but well, to a meat eater like me, its not really fulfilling enough, kwim?
Idea's gratefully recieved.

why not do them in a cheese sauce, in the oven for a potatoe & broccoli bake, then serve with bread and salad:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

To make it more filling why don't you have a good protein source with it, like chickpeas/lentils/beans?
For example you could have bakes potatoes or wedges, and make a spicy tomato sauce with butterbeans, or chickpeas or lentils. Maybe a bit of cheese on top, and then have the purple sprouting on the side?0 -

Next time why not try a spanish omlette with your favourite veggies in - our do it greek style with baby toms, feta and olives - yummy! Really good in this weather!0

Well in the end, did have a salad as neither of us could be bothered to do any more. Went down really well, I will insist on more meat free meals from now on.
Salad had feta, sweetcorn and onions in it btw and all the usual suspects.
I really love that PSB! Although
I did cut myself almost to the bone on my thumb cutting it.......... See, engineers should know how to use a stanley knife (do at work!) ..........and well, the Oh DID say to use a kitchen knife, but I knew better
Anyway, I think blood improved the flavour“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
