Just booked my car!!

Just booked and paid the deposit for my car! :j:j

We're having the Daimler limo, £175 which is good as other prices were coming in at around £300!

They're doing 2 trips, picking my mum, step dad and the kids up first, then coming back for me and my dad. They will also wait until the ceremony ends and take me and my then husband (husband haha!) for photos, but need to speak to the photographers first about that, they're coming next week to speak to us.

How is everyone else getting to their ceremony??

am v.jealous, they look fab, best deal we have found so far is £350 :( which actually was quite good because they didnt do silly things like limit mileage or number of trips, or time they would wait, which is good as its bit of distance between ceremony and reception, but still feel its a lot of money. Though h2b wants to arrive in a sports car - pref a DB9 - no chance at around £500!!

wish i had the money to surprise him with that though - he would be my slave forever!!

BTW how do i put my wedding date on the bottom like you?
    getting married: 02/10/10
    weight loss goal: 2st
    lost so far: 11lb
    (and the dress fits!)
  • WOW, your cars are beautiful!

My other half initially wanted a Daimler Limo as apparently his grandad used to have one.

Do the Grooms etc traditionally have transportation to the wedding? All we have arranged is a horse and carriage, and maybe think its rude for FH to turn up in the hire car we are using to get from the airport LOL.

ooooh decidsions (and costs) lol xxxx
  • My OH is in the wedding car business anyway so he wanted something stylish to turn up. Generally I don't think it matters what they turn up in, as long as they do actually turn up!

    - to get the date at the bottom, you need to edit your signature in the user CP.

  • LOL yes, turning up would be a good thing. Maybe a prison van might be a good idea LOL. And different/quirky too :D
  • WOW fabulous cars : ) Haven't got a picture but my dad is into car restoration and is taking me and him to the church in his Austin 7 which he restored about 10 years ago, and as for the OH he can scrounge a lift with a passer by : ) he he only kidding, we haven't got anything in place for him yet!

i'm not having any fancy cars, cos i'm getting married at a hotel, to me it seems a bit silly to have them. in true MSE style i'm going to get ready at home or a friends home, get a lift of one of my BMs and get changed into my dress in my room at the hotel lol! so most likely my wedding car is going to be a purple KA :rotfl:

Well our venue is miles and miles away from the house....

10 minutes away to be exact :o

Couldn't justify paying any more than we are paying, but it's a treat, not only for me, but the kids too so hope they like it!

Son will probably say "i'm not going in that, it's gay, ill get the bus and meet you there":rotfl::rotfl:

We were just gonna go in our cars we have, but I thought sod it, I'm only gonna do this once!

Plus OH gets to stay in the hotel the night before when I'll be home so it equals out :D
