hiya,

any recomendations for car boot sales from people that have tried selling at ?

prefer to make a real effort for a good one, rather than go local and have a disapointing morning !

looking for around the west M25, maybe herts, bucks, surrey for anywhere that draws an affluent and well behaved crowd !

lots of lovely stuff that would go well on ebay (silly impulse purchases on credit/store card that never came out of the bag, :o that I hope to sell at a good as new rather than as jumble .... but have in one piece for the next sale.

had a few experiences of good and bad car boots, so hoping to repeat the good and not the bad

any recomendations very gratefully recieved.

Hi hope you don't mind me crashing your thread! I was going to post the same question for surrey/bucks. Did you find a good car boot?

There is an absolutely MASSIVE car boot sale in Denham, Bucks every Saturday. There is also another big one every Sunday at Taplow, Berks.

The Denham one is the biggest car boot sale I've ever been to.

You can find more details (including directions) for both these sales on THIS SITE.

Have to second the message about Denham car boot . Absolutely enormous location , very well organised, especially traffic wise and a great place to buy or sell . We will probably do another one in a few weeks time , think we paid £12 for entry but we easily recouped that . Good luck

Just wondered whether people would agree that the boot sale mentioned above in Denham is still one of the best around?

I've never been to one before but have a few items I want to sale and I've been advised to sell them all at one time at a car boot sale. Denham is reasonably near to me so if it is still a good one I'll pop along there when it reopens in a couple of months time.
  • Have sold at loads in the local area. Depends what you are selling. I found Denham was terrible for selling clothes but good for brick a brac. I usually stick to my local ones we have 3 local that we do on a Sunday in about 3 1/2 hours for the lot when buying. Or one @ Nash Mills, Hemel Hempstead small but clothes do really well.
