Ooo I'd like to join in too please!

Tesco Value 4 pack choc mousse - I think they were 27p for the 4.

Yummy!! Really couldn't tell the difference between that and an M&S one to be honest!

  • I would definatley recommend the sainsbury's basics cornflakes, they are really nice and light and crunchy, i prefer them to kelloggs by a mile, and can't go wrong ror 46p:D

Also i have to agree about the tinned potatoes, you get loads in the basics tins and they are so cheap,me and my little ones love them but i am still yet to convince my oh, but i will.........:rotfl:

Boots 'Essentials' Shampoo/Conditioner (£1.50 for 2 at the moment). It appears to be Pantene, or very much like it.

I have to second this - it really does seem to be practically the same as Pantene.

But I've also used Tesco Discount Brand shampoo and conditioner - really good and don't have to be stingey with it which I like - I think about 78p and quite big bottles.

Also loving the new VO5 offer on shampoo that was on offer for £1 in Tesco - it smells gorgeous! The volume one is the one I'm using and and the deep nourishing conditioner.

Can heartily recommend ALL of these shampoos!! I have them all and rotate, I can't resist a real bargain and stock up when I can.

(Bought a non-brand in the 99p shop, of which I'm a big fan generally but this was a boo-boo - will take a look tonight, see what it was called and post on the NOT RECOMMEND thread lol:rotfl: )

  • oooooh, just thought of another one, sainsburys own brand angel delight mix, it's about 27p and the butterscotch one knocks the socks off the real deal, and is half the price:D, and if you don't mind smaller portions the basics one is good tatsre wise for 7p but i am greedy and like 4 big portions all to myself so always go for the sainsburys own brand:rotfl:

  • Sainsburys basic olives. Green or black 99p. Much nicer than the £2.85 pot which is next to them on the shelf.

Tesco value milk choc digestives, they are a bit thinner than the standard but they are YUMMY!

Keep em in the fridge and eat whole pack with a cuppa! That's my tip - they're 33p :D

value custard creams are good as well, only just a bit thinner, that's the only difference I'm sure.

I'm not doing so well in my already half @rsed attempt at losing weight lol :D Now pass me the value lettuce leaves!!!

I like Morrisons no added sugar fruit & barley - comes in orange, summer fruits, or apple and pear for 64p a litre, I think it's much nicer than robinsons. Also on the subject of squash, Sainsburys basics apple and blackcurrant and orange are very nice, a lot better than some of the other value squashes.

Also Asda sell some face wipes in a grey and white packet, I think they're 4 for £3 or 3 for £4 lol, anyway they're really good, nice size lots of "juice" in them, they remove waterproof mascara as well as other make up.

Sainsbury's basics wholemeal bread is nice too, not dry like some of the other value brands and only 50p a loaf. That along with their 13p tins of basics pineapple chunks (in juice, not syrup!) make up the majority of my lunch for work each day! It's the only value pineapple I've ever found that's in juice instead of syrup and tastes lovely.

I've got some shopping come tonight so I'll probably add more later!

I'd like to add Sainsburys Basics Chilled Cheese & Tomato Pizzas. 99p for a large, 49p for a mini. Really nice crispy base, just need to add a bit more cheese to them! Really nice, had one for my tea :)

There seems to be mixed feelings about value tin toms but we really can't tell the difference when we have used branded ones. I suppose its how you cook them.

Morrisons value baked beans are nice. We bought HP once (on offer) and my OH noticed they were different, he said he didn't like them because they were a bit mushy lol. So now I only buy value ones.

For any veggies - Morrisons meat free mince is exactly the same as quorn, cheaper and a fuller bag.

My daughter seems happy with value choc ices and ice lollies (I remove them from the box so she doesn't know lol)

Tescos belgium chocolate spread is really, really nice (a bit too nice)

Sainsburys own brand 2-1 washing powder is as good as Fairy and smells nice (the one in the purple box)

Morrisons pull ups (in our opinion) are better than the branded ones as they are more roomy and a generous size, and we are told they are comfy!
