'Free' Wine From Virgin Wines (again) ?

Options
This has got to be the best one yet from Virgin Wines (although they did renege on their last offer...)
You're invited...to a wine tasting in your own home!

Here's the deal
we will mix you a case of wines to suit your personal tastes
we will give you £20 off
you try the wines at home in your own time - and if you don't like them, you can have your money back. All of it!

Why are we doing this?
We want to welcome you to Virgin Wines. From experience, we have found that the best way to do this, is for us to invest the time required to help you find the wines that will blow your socks off. And to deliver that kind of personal service, takes a real live human being - and 5 minutes of your time.

If you like the sound of this
just reply to this email with a convenient time and number to call on
we will call you next week to help you find the wines that we guarantee you will love - or your money back
and we will knock £20 off your order

There is no obligation, the service is free, and there are no catches.

Click here to reply, I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers

Rowan Gormley, Founder
Virgin Wines

Sounds like a typical 'new customer' deal, but must be worth a try:

and body beginning 'Hi Rowan, a convenient time and number to call me on are:'

hmmm. dunno how hard it would be to claim you didn't like ALL of the wines they sent you. might be hard to wriggle out of summat that may cost you £50+...

let's face it, going by the threads kicking about this forum, they do tend to shift the old goalposts a bit....

Most tasting reports of virgin wines seem to be luke-warm at best.

I wouldn't use them again after the shameful experience many of we money savers had last time they ran a so-called offer.

I daresay maybe now the old warehouse stock is turning to vinegar and they might be trying to give it away? Just a thought.

The money back guarantee is not as straight foward as it states. I really disliked 2 bottles last year and emailed them to say so.
One cost £2.99 and the other £5.99.
I expected my money back, but all they offer you is money back OFF YOUR NEXT ORDER!
I would have ordered from them again, but thought that the guarantee was misleading, so haven't. I did email them again to say that I was dissappointed, they just said that's their T&C's.

in to use it in cooking, to dilute the taste. The bottles aren't the best.
With Laithwaites now and worth the price difference.

Check out Tescos. Still doing a wine sale with some excellent offers and £10 off if you check out the mse vouchers forum and free delivery over £99.

Had some fantastic buys so far. And don't forget each family member can use a £10 off voucher! Every little helps (oops that's someone else's motto! LOL)

My girlfriend and I got 4 cases from Virgin between us with the Smile bank account promotion. I have to say I too haven't been terribly impressed. Although the South African cleanskins have been really good.
