Hi Karma.. well sometimes a fiddly bits and pieces sort of day can be good :)

I've woken up with a cold :( Had a sore throat last night and a runny nose in the middle of the night and now my whole head itches inside! Not good.. full of assorted pills to get me through the day.

Bit stuck workwise this morning - got loads of queries but nobody in to ask till later on!

Im joining you on the having a cold front....sounds like your job is going great and a good place to be to further your training and experience :)

I looked at the Ryan Air flights last night to Pisa and with taxes its still around £170 for the 2 of us...sigh! R really really wants to go but we are too much of a bargain hunters to pay too much. I am tempted to try and raise the cash myself and book it as a suprise but id need him to book the time off work...wonders what to do

Eek that's a lot, I've been struggling to find any good bargains too. Might be worth hanging on a few days to see what the next Ryanair 'sale' is. Oh, Mr S is going to look out the info on Florence for you, he couldn't remember off the top of his head.

Gosh it's warm here today.. which reminds me - we made ice cream! I got a load of reduced cream in Waitrose (29p a tub) - I made some with a tin of mixed summer fruits mixed in, and Mr S made vanilla with chocolate chunks. Bit icy but very tasty! I also made elderflower cordial last night - Mr S climbed up the wall to pick elderflowers and I did the 'cooking' bit. Have to strain it when I get home tonight :)

The elderflower cordial got strained last night (although there's still a few bits in there) and it's very nice.

I am in a mood. And it's not a good one. Still got sore throat, runny nose and sneezing like mad. Mr S had to work late yesterday (did nothing all day then had a late meeting, where he did nothing except take minutes, typical) and was not happy at all by the time he got home. Now he is being huffy because our phones appear not to be talking to each other, texts not arriving or turning up hours later, and I got voicemail when I tried to ring him earlier even though he insists his phone was on (bad reception maybe?) The way he talks about it makes it feel like he blames me or I'm making it all up - the other day he said he thought I 'wasn't talking to him' when I hadn't replied to a text. I'm getting fed up of having to prompt what we're going to do all the time, he never has any ideas, even simple things like what to have for tea, I have to ask every day about what we're going to have and then I have to get it on the way home.. we just can't seem to get into a routine with everyday things since I've started this job. And no doubt he will be feeling sorry for himself because I've got my friend staying this weekend and he'll be feeling neglected.. sigh :(

Sorry its tough, Squizz.... this is one area where I'm really bad personally sometimes - not saying anything then briefly blowing up and walking away. Hope you can sort it soon ..... more talking?

Thanks Karma. I don't mean to be unsympathetic but it's wearing me down.. I mean the phone thing, it's not really a big deal but it's being turned into one. And he never gets angry, just huffy and withdrawn.. so talking is hard. But I guess I will have to try, he won't.

Aargh, that boy is strange. Got home and he was in a perfectly fine mood.. we had a nice evening.. weird, but can't complain I suppose. We are now on serious holiday finding mission as we both really need a break!

Feel a bit less sniffly today, tired though, I had a very restless sleep, think I've had a slightly weird reaction to cold capsules :o Oh well, looks like a quiet day at work, then meeting my friend off the bus for a weekend of shopping, Race for Life and spa day on Monday.
