Hi All,
Well, I did a very NON moneysaving thing this week... I bought a beef rib roast as I keep hearing chefs on TV rage on about how much better they are than the cuts we're sold as roast joints generally - so off I popped to my local farm shop and asked for one...then nearly fainted at the price !!
Anyway I cooked it today and I have to say it was FANTASTIC the best roast beef I have ever tasted - and I'm sure thats not my cooking !! so It was thoughly enjoyed by the family and now I am left with a large bone with fat and scraps of meat. How can I make the most of whats left and feel I somehow got my moneys worth ?!?!
Giving the dog the bone is an option, but I'm sure you will have other ideas ....
All ideas appreciated,
TIA

hi
we have a rib roast about once a month - it's an indulgence I know, but sooo worth it! We usually buy a big enough joint so that I can do a curry with the leftovers on the Monday. Otherwise, as already suggested, make some stock.
