    Hi Ziggy. :)

Yeah renting is a bummer. Are you managing to save anything? Do you have a diary on here? :)
  • Hey, Yeah it's 'ZiggyStardust's money diet'

We're probably not going to be able to buy for a few years...going back to uni to do teacher training next month and we want to move abroad after, ideally would like to work in an international school. Think it depends on when we find a country we would like to settle in for a while

Just trying to save as well at paying off hubby's debts at the mo , trying to make cutbacks as we fritter so much money away!

Just been sitting going through all the polls on Toluna and am now so close to getting my first voucher from them. :D

I've come to the realisation that I'm going to have to take some money out of the savings to take on holiday. I am really struggling this month. Pay day on Thursday but because I was ill last month I'm not going to get much overtime cash so I'm going to struggle next month too. Thank god it's my last payment for rent for the flat.

Bedroom at home is going well. Still needs a couple more coats of paint and then for the wallpaper to go up.

Today has been so busy at work and I've only been here since 1.

Getting a bit of a break at the moment so thought I'd update this.

Spent no money today so all good. Going to hopefully do some comps this afternoon if it gets quiet at work.

Got up late again so had to rush to work not being able to make lunch. Went to Boots and got a meal deal for lunch. I went to a self service till.

It printed out a £5 voucher for No7. Anyone else get this or know why I did?

Dunno what to spend it on.

Have had a good day today, it's pay day!! :j And got more than I was expecting so that was nice.

Had a little spend today. Went to boots and bought £22 worth of No7 makeup but used my £5 voucher and also got a free makeup bag with lots of goodies inside it. Also went to next and spent my £20 gift voucher. Got 3 pink makeup/toiletrie bags for holiday and also a new purse as my current one was getting a bit tatty. Well pleased with my purchases today. Feels nice to actually spend some money on myself, it's been a while!

The No7 vouchers are great aren't they?! well done on your savings today - it sounds like you had a great day. Its good to spend some money on yourself sometimes.

Isn't it great when you get paid more than what you were expecting.

Have a great bank holiday weekend Hayz!

    Hi all,

    Not updated for a bit.

Holiday was lovely, wish I could have stayed there because as soon as you land in England it's all go again (I got a call from my letting agent saying they had not recieved my rent yet whilst I was still at the airport!)

Holiday was just lovely, did alot of laying around the pool as it was so hot. Went into town a few days. Money wise was ok, though I spent way to much on presents for people but I did come back with some euro's left that I managed to change back up into pounds.

So back to reality now. Back to work. Back to stress! Have got abotu 3 weeks till we need to be out of the flat and not moved anything into mum and dads yet! I just don't know where to start. It's such a bloody hassle moving.

I had to take some money out of my savings to cover this months bills because of the holiday which makes me sad but I know it will be going straight back in when I get my deposit for the flat back after we move out. Get paid next Thursday. Withdraw £10 this morning from cash machine and spent £2.99 on a boots meal deal (I know, got up late again!) so I have £7.01 left which I'm going to try and last me for the rest of the week. Probably use my card for any dinners I need to buy but that is essential. So £7, I think this is easily achievable. WILL pack my lunch tommorow so that should be a NSD. Rest of today I will resist going to the canteen and getting anything from the vending machine! I will go home with that £7 still in my pocket. Then on Friday I only do half day so can have my lunch at home so will be a NSD again.

Dad's buying us all a chinese takeaway for dinner on Friday night as a treat so looking forward to that. Got money on my oyster card which my mum kindly put on for me on Sunday to last me the rest of this week. Just my mobile phone bill and lovefilm to come out of my account now so should just scrape through this month again. Can't wait to actually put most of my wages away for savings!

Will update this to record how I've down with the £7. :o
  • Welcome back Hayz! Sounds like you had a lovely holiday, just a shame you had to come back to a call from your letting agent, they always pick the best times to call don't they?!

Good luck with the £7, i'm sure you will do great and will still have change by the end of the week. The Boots meal deals are really good value i think, not something to buy everyday as it all adds up (so i told myself) but good value for money as i always pick the most expensive sandwich, drink (smoothie) and snack hehe!

Anyways, have a great week and i will keep an eye out for how your getting on chick!
