HELP. made bankrupt in 2006 now ive been offered a managing director job & sharholder

Need some advice please
We have had a few years of financial hardship recently a few weeks ago my wife went bankrupt.
i went bankrupt in 2006 and have been discharged in 2007
ive been working at this company for 3 years and now they wanmt to make me a shareholder and have given me directorship.
am i allowed to legally do this?
is there anything i need to declare to them as id rather not.
any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
i just wish this had come along earlier so that we didnt get into the bad money situation we both got into.
This looks like its the break i have needed :T

indeed there is life after bankruptcy :)

looking back now to how sad and depressed and suicidal i was seems like a different life.
i really do feel sorry for anyone who feels that way due to a financial situation.
if anyone reading this is feeling down just remember it wont always be this way and you will have oppertunitys in the future to put yourself back into a secure happy financial situation :)
    never ever give up! :A

Well here I am 7 years on.
I now am still a company director and the business is doing well.
My marriage broke up and now I am with a new girl that seems to manage money better.
I have a Gold Credit Card again but this time its being used very very carefully and being paid off in full every month.
It doesn't matter how bleak life is I can guarantee to you that one day things will be much brighter and you will be happy.
I thought about taking my life many times but so pleased that I didn't take the cowards/idiots way out.
Be strong and all will come good
