what can i use instead of marsala

I need some Marsala for a recipe, but don't really want to go to the expense of buying a bottle as I'm sure I'll not use it again soon. What could I use instead? I have white wine and sherry in stock! :o

Sherry should be fine, they come from the same family of fortified wine.
