Uncooked chutney recipe

My Mum in law gave me this recipe... it's gorgeous and lasts for ages and is sooo easy to make!!
1lb apples (any)
1lb dates
1lb sultanas
1lb onions
1 pint vinegar
Mince together apples, dates, sultanas and onions.
Leave in the vinegar for 24 hrs and then bottle... and thats all there is to it
Easy-peasy
Enjoy!!!

Sorry to ask a stupid question but what is meant by 'mince' - finely chop or put through a mincer?
