Uncooked chutney recipe

Options
My Mum in law gave me this recipe... it's gorgeous and lasts for ages and is sooo easy to make!!

1lb apples (any)
1lb dates
1lb sultanas
1lb onions

1 pint vinegar

Mince together apples, dates, sultanas and onions.

Leave in the vinegar for 24 hrs and then bottle... and thats all there is to it :)

Easy-peasy :)

Enjoy!!!

This sounds very similar to the stuff I get a jar of for Christmas every year from somebody at church.

    Delicious with cold ham!

  • Sorry to ask a stupid question but what is meant by 'mince' - finely chop or put through a mincer?

Trying to find an easy but recommended chutney recipe and this seems to fit the bill.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
