IPA's

Hi Martin,
i have been bankcrupt now for approx 3 years and been discharged for 2 1/2 years, i apparently signed a IPA for 36 months and had to pay £477 a month for 3-4 months as i wasnt paying my mortage and had surplus. i then moved in to rented accom 4 mths after my date of bankcruptcy with a rent of £500 a month, so the OR said as i was now paying more than the £477 i didnt have to pay them anything! now 2 1/2 years after no contact they have sent me a letter saying that i owe then nearly £15000 as i havent been paying them the £477 everymonth. i ahve phned them and they want me to do another expenditure form? but have recently had some overtime which will now look like i am earning more!
1,have you heard of this before?
2, why has no one from the OR office contacted me before?
3, what do i do now?

    Hi Shauny,

Firstly don't panic, it sounds like a case of lack of communication, have you still go the letter that says your IPA was suspended? If you haven't there should be a copy on your file anyway.

Was the letter from the OR or the collections agency, either Moon Beever, or another (sorry can't remember the name).

Concerning your overtime, has this been regular or bits here and there? Unless it's regular the OR won't take it into account.
