Hello all,
I have a big bag of sorrel and wondered if anyone had any ideas what I could do with it. I have googled and found sorrel soup. Anything else? And does it disappear to nothing like spinach?
Thanks for any help

I have nothing to contribute to this thread and my apologies for wasting your time but, in my alcohol-induced state, I mis-read your post as something to do with cooking squirrels
I tuned in only because I was intrigued :eek:You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
Who knows - it could be tasty
Cheers

I've got some growing in my garden. I feed it to my rabbit. He seems to like it.
I don't have any recipes, but apparently it's very popular in France. I have a bit about it in a book, it says the young leaves are good in salads. Older leaves are good in sauces and soups. It is supposed to be good with fish. It says it is traditionally teamed with eggs and cream. Not sure what you can make with eggs and cream though. Omlette or scrambled eggs maybe?0 -
Remember... squirrels may contain nuts! Sorry - groan.
Sorrel soup is yummy and it does make a good accompaniment to fish, sorrel, not the soup. I think Delia has a soup recipe in her original cookery book from the early 80s.Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!
