Apart from just eating it straight out of the bag as a snack....what else do you do with dried chunky papaya pieces (and pineapple come to that) that you can buy from health food shops?

I make a cake with dried pinapple and glace cherries in them.
And my husband loves eating them as snacks.0 -
I add them to hm muesli sometimes as a special treat. I suppose you could add them to muesli cookies as well. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

ooh..... I love papaya .. It got to be fresh papaya though. Do you know that fresh papaya is good for your health :- It helps to reduce or even get rid of pimples (my whole family has been eating papaya from young & non of us ever have pimples) and pus.
In case some of you don't know & no offends - papaya is also call pawpaw. Papaya can be as big as 12" long or maybe longer whereby pawpaw is about half the size or smaller.0 -

Firstly, instead of saying to yourself dried "papaya" or "pineapple" simply think: dried fruit!!
Anything you can make/use dried fruit with/for you can sub with papaya.
I've used them in flapjacks, everyday biscuits (chopped first), cakes and even in the BM as a sub for sultana'sso, instead of sultana and cinnamon loaf, I made papaya and mixed spice
Chopped up and put in the porridge; added to HM Muesli; made into 'kebabs' for the lunchbox with cheese and cherry toms on cocktail sticks (also great at parties if the sticks are displayed as a hedgehog).
Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I've even used the pineapple in HM burgers. My mother used to make Hawaiian Burgers: burgers topped with cheese and a pineapple ring. Promised the family Hawaiian burgers but didn't have any fresh or tinned pineapple only the dried chunks. So, I chopped it up in the processor (not too much or it goes to mush!), added it to the minced pork, onion and breadcrumbs to make the burgers, served with a slice of cheese and they were a hit!!
Just think dried fruit and let your imagination and a basic recipe do the rest~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
