Can chicken legs be cooked in a slow cooker?

Options
Hi :j

I have some chicken legs I would like to cook for dinner tomorrow. Does anyone know if they can be cooked in a slow cooker? If so how and what can I do with them to make a yummy family dinner?

Thanks everyone.

you can cook the whole bird in there so you'll have no problem with just the legs. what do you fancy doing with them?

I really need some inspiration MSE's : ). Nothing fiery as a toddler will be eating as well. Also I wondered if chicken legs cooking slow all day would make the dish oily?

Oh I like to put chicken legs/thighs in a slow cooker (removing skin first to cut down on fat, I also cut off any obvious lumps of fat) with a tin of chopped tomatoes, chopped onions and peppers a few herbs and some chicken stock (could add courgettes, carrots, mushrooms). Cook on low for hours and voila a kind of mediterranean chicken. I also add some chili flakes as my lot like a bit of bite (not much tho) but still tastes great without.
This can make a lot of sauce so if there's some left I use it later to add to soups or casseroles as it is really tasty and it freezes well.

    It's only a game
