I cooked my whole chicken tonight (it was lovely - thanks for all your tips of how to cook it!
)
I've made 5 pasta meals for future work lunches and I want to freeze them, usually they wouldn't have meat in but this time I've used some chicken. How can I safely defrost them to eat for lunch?
Do I need to defrost and then reheat in the microwave? I usually prefer to eat my lunch cold, as a pasta/rice salad but I'm worried that the chicken will make me ill if I don't reheat it. Is this true?

No, it is absolutely fine to defrost and eat it cold. In fact, I would have thought it was safer because not reheating it properly is what could make you ill.0

You can eat it cold with no problems as long as it is completely defrosted. If I am defrosting something for lunch the next day I lift it out of the freezer the night before and let it defrost slowly in the fridge.
