no idea if it is any good but the price seems to have dropped quite a bit. Says it is HD ready with 720p 1080i support etc etc.

  • It has no intergrated freeview tuner which would put me off but apart from that it looks ok spec wise. From experience I prefer to see the actual image the tv puts out before buying so I would be a little hesitant to buy this.

I went to currys chose the tv I wanted then went home and ordered it over the net from currys. Currys store price £999, bought over the ner from currys for £754.

BTW the tv I went for was the Samsung LE32R51BD, which I have to say is excellent, I really am pleased with it.

Reviews look good, especially about their customer service which makes a change.

Any `experts` out there spotted a downside on either model???

Is one worth £50 more than the other???

I seem to remember reading in the paper last week that the HDtv are a bit of a rip off at the moment as they only have about 1 million pixels per inch. When the HD format comes in, they will use just above the 2 million pixels per inch. I think the article said that there are only two HDtv at the moment which offer the 2million mark, think one was a Phillips but can't be sure. It reckoned a lot of people will end up buying another set some time next year when most are at the 2 million mark.

check to see what the pixel per inch ratio is on this one

Is there any actual HDTV broadcasts around at the moment?

If not, by the time the broadcasts are freely available and at an affordable rate there's bound to be some other more technically advanced HDTV TV which is a must have in months to come.

It would seem a bit odd going out and buying a car now that runs on some fuel that isn't available yet.
