God it's depressing...

I've just looked at "next" months budget (that's after pay day this friday) and what do I see?

Total Income 100%
Necessary Expenses 77%
Discretionary Income 23%
Investment Spending 7%
Discretionary Income less Investments 16%
Discretionary Spending 1%
Amount remaining to save or invest 2%

Do you know who much that 2% is???!!! £25.. wow wee.. a whole £25 to myself.. and those figs don't include petrol for the month!!!!

Geeze.. it's sad knowing 77% is spent even before you've touched it!!!

erm, do your percentages add up?!

I make that 139% :rotfl:(clever if you can turn an income of 100% into 139% though - any tips you can give me so I can find an extra 39%?! ;))

EDIT - doh - it's late, just realised that some of it is the breakdown of the 'discretionary spending'! (well, it is late... :o)
    Highest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300 :(
    Debt Free - August 2006!! :D

  • Why invest if u can't afford ur petrol?

    The % do add up!!! 77 + 23 = 100

Investment spending comes from the Dis income 23-7=16
    Of that 16 i spend 1 on dis spending = 15

All makes sense to me!! :)

J baby scotland.. £25 to invest is hardly anything to brag about when you got a car that takes £55 to fill up!!

edited my post to say that I'd realised that some of it was a breakdown of the discretionary spending - it just wasn't immediately clear to me that that was what you'd done iyswim. As I said... it is late :o
