Does anyone replace zips in men's trousers?

    hi Bella, hope you havent given in yet - its actually pretty easy if you do it by hand. Do the side with the extra piece of fabric first - put the zip between the pieces and stitch it in, then close the trousers at the top, pin the other side, open the zip and stitch that side.

    Thanks, Westcoastcot, no I haven't given up, the need to do it for my self esteem is greater than DH's need for the trousers. I haven't got the zip yet though, so it's waiting for a trip to town - don't go very often.

    You obviously haven't checked out their mens clothes recently. Hubby is a very canny man and hates wasting money at so called 'superior' stores. He's also very well turned out & not a scruff, despite the lack of 'labels'.
    You are right but then its impossible to get in our local primark for women chucking clothes and things in all directions like a village jumble sale.:rotfl:
    it does seem to be a shop that anyone can walk in and trash then walk out without buying anything.
