    Maybe you should alter the title of this thread to read "We've changed our wedding date...."...it really scared me that you had cancelled altogether!

    Think you're a VERY sensible couple. When we married a million years ago (1970) we had a registry office wedding, small family and friends gathering at my parents home with buffet provided by Mum and Gran and we had a great day. I wish you a truly wonderful wedding, a great honeymoon and a lifetime of happiness. All the very best.

    Good for you! Your new wedding plans sound very much like ours...low key and relaxed. Don't worry about your Mum. She probably just needs a bit of time to adjust and grieve for the wedding that was. The important thing is that you are doing the right thing for you.
