Butcher's chinese flavouring

We did have a butcher that would do chinese flavoured pork etc and the seasoning was lovely ( although I hate to think what was in it!) now shut down and can't find another butcher locally that does it.

Recently bought some reduced Dalepak chinese rib steaks from Asda ( again probably rubbish, but they where cheap and we had to try them) the meat was not 'meat' and I won't be getting them again, but the spices were just the same as the butchers.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the spices or what they are?

I buy 'flava it' from https://www.mrcflava.co.uk although rumour has it that you can by it in Morrisons but as we don't have one nearby I can't check that out.

The flavouring could be five spice powder, this is used a lot in chinese dishes and is widely available in supermarkets in the herbs and spices section.

I have bought it in those scoop and weigh shops. We dont have one near us so I buy it when I go to Hunstanton. The is a nice little shop there on the High St but I have bought it in other similar shops.
Our local butcher used to sell it but he has closed down.

It isn't five spice, it is more than that - have that in my herb rack it is a staple in my stir frys! Thank you will try that might take my voucher MIL sent on a trip to Morrison's instead of TEsco's that I was going to try and use it in!
