Just been reading all my info from CCCS in more detail, I was told If all interest etc stopped i would be debt free in 10 years, I didnt realise that some of the debts would be cleared a lot before that though, and then the extra cash go toward paying off the bigger longer running ones, I assumed they would all be dragged out over the ten years.
Makes me feel a bit better actually, as in 5 years I will more than likely only have 5 debts, not 11!!

Hi,all quiet here, nothing to report, no letters or phone calls for 3 days!!
We did 'bite the bullett' yesterday & tell our very good friends about our situation, we use to do a lot of BBQing, going out for meals etc with them & DH was under the impression that this should carry on 'so they didnt suspect something was wrong!' no way this could carry on, so I told him the best thing would be to tell them, they were very supportive,(DH was under the impression that it might frighten them away, I told him if it did then they werent real friends). Must say it will be nice to be able to speak to them about things if we ever need to!

Oh definitely, and to be honest (not trying to pass the blame here!) most of the debt is due to DH being a spendaholic, I have never bought anything on a credit card I didnt genuinely need (food, clothes for the kids) but he has bought tons!

Not having much luck lately, first I manage to save £100 in paypal by selling stuff over the past month (saving for birthdays & christmas) and accidently send it to the wrong account (one that is included in my DMP) so have lost that.

Now today, I was suppose to be paid, but find out that because I am now with nationwide (was with lloyds but had to change due to a lot of my debt being with lloyds) instead of my money going in instantly it now takes 3-5 working days, so wont go in until the 3rd or 4th of month, and my payment to CCCS comes out on 1st, so now I have to use the £400 I had saved up for emergencies! damn!!

    Thats a bummer.. :undecided

Mind you.. on the plus side I suppose .. at least you haven't actually lost the money that went into your old account. At least it has reduced the debt a bit. Try to see it that way. (maybe)
