Hey folks,
Just a quick query... even though it may sound stupid but what is the difference (if any) between a default and late payment?
Thanks

A late / missed payment is usually a one-off. A default is where there has been several (in essence)0

i had 2 late payments from an orange contract phone (disagreement with orange settled, paid the balance when dispute was sorted, this shows up in Experian with yellow (not red) is there anyway you can tell if this is a default? Thanks for the reply Andy!0 -
You're welcome.
It would normally show as a 'D' (for default obviously!) rather than a missed payment or two which would show something like 00210000
A dispute might be something like 0IIII2100000
