Help! Need some sort of at home job

I'm new to this place but here it goes ...

Can anyone suggest any companies that allow you to work from home? I have a young son and unable to put him in to childcare. My husband works shift so its really hard to get a job that fits around his shift. I do bits and bobs when I can and when they crop up but its not enough.

Thanks

    What about something like Avon/Betterware/Kleeneze?

  • Well I was hoping to get something I can do with my son around as my husband does shifts so its a bit of a pain as I have no one to look after our son if I was to do something like the parties or avon etc.

I'm stuck, I just don't know what to do! My previous job was working between 50 to 80 hours a week so motherhood has really shocked me!!!!!

I can give you information on Usborne Books if you are interested. Children's books are historically recession proof as people will always spend on their children, especially on something educational. We also sell to schools so you can gain some very big orders in a short space of time. Orders in excess of £1000 aren't unusual.

My website is on my profile for more info. Good luck in whatever you choose. Where are you based?

    Hello,

I live in berkshire. My son loves them books, with the little duck!!! I might have a look at that.

    Thank you

alternatively, you could just look after your son and support your husband - being a full-time housewife / homecarer is a lot of effort but it will reap rewards.

just think of the good quality time you will spend with your son - especially now we are getting into summer - and think how happy your husband will be when son is all washed and clean and ready to hear stories before bed

after that you can share a meal together with a bottle of wine and enjoy each other - remember how it used to be

life is not all about accumulating "wealth"
I am not a financial advisor. Anything I post is basically just random stuff from my head. Digest it as you will. Being free of debt is good. Banks control us through debt. Caveat Emptor. Ignore anything I say. Oh and don't copy it either. Cheers. I'll have a Guinness extra cold.

Have you thought about childminding? I thought about it once, then realised I am way too untidy, but if you have a not-too cluttered house then it might be worth a look? Could be fun for your son too.

You could always take your son round with you when delivering/collecting books, I know a few Avon ladies on here do that with their little ones :D It would be flexible as being self-employed you work what hours you want to do, as little or as much as you want.

When my son was little I was the local Avon lady and he was great at helping sales, my customers loved him and he was a great ice breaker looking all cute in his buggy!
