Why can't a Govt just get on with the job of doing a good job.... why do they all just see it as a "Private Club to Infinitessimal Riches"?

    Why don't they work full-time?
Why do they steal/ponce so much in expenses?
Why do they think they're where they are through "hard work"?
Why are they just all a bunch of c***s?

SRSLY - it doesn't matter WHO is in Govt, they always treat it like one giant cash machine - and just use it to milk contacts and future earnings potential.

    C***S

    Lot of 'em!

    And .... they .... make ... me .... spit.

Note: This rant was non-party-specific.... it's ALL of them isn't it!

I was thinking about the vast sums ex leaders get for giving talks and that I think it is their right to do this and capitalise on their experience for heir finncial benefit in their lives after such a role. :)

Surely no one in their right mind would pay good money to listen to Brown the Clown give a lecture.
Let`s hope when he`s booted out next year he goes and finds a remote Scottish isle to live on and he`s never heard of again.

Richard Madeley in yesterday`s Express suggested that if Newgate debtor`s prison still existed,Brown should be thrown in and locked up for plunging the whole country into debt for many years to come. :T:T:T

Since the Americans paid good money to listen to the soporifc John Major and a fortune to Thatcher who was hardly a great public speaker no doubt Brown will be able to coin it in on the American circuit next year while resetting his moral compass. I have contempt for a politician who is in despair about higher taxes ob high-earners but has nothing but a smug sense of self rectitude about the Iraq War.

For the conspiracy theorists in our midst ...

Blair takes us to war in Iraq ... so what's the obvious next step??

Yep, he becomes a peace envoy for the Middle East.

Brown bankrupts the UK ... so what's the obvious next step?

Yep, he takes over as head of the IMF.
If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

I'm not surprised Cherie is tearing her hair out & Tone has responded :rotfl:

How are the poor things going to pay off their multiple mortgages on a 50% tax rate?

And with a City exodus abroad on the cards, their dip into the top end of the London property market looks more precarious by the day ;).

Their precious Labour Party is going to cost them £millions down the line

What sort of gratitude is that, after they missed out on the London property boom when they sold out on their Islington home when they moved into No. 10. It's just not fair ;).

Perhaps the £150K "hit the rich" target was chosen partly because it would hit Tone & Cherie but not cabinet ministers.

For full tax purposes is Mr Bliar a resident of the UK?

Ah Tony Blair. Just when you think its not possible to have a bigger !!!! for a leader Blair pops up and reminds us it could still be worse.

    Bang on!!

You know, Blair has a good technique for rubbishing Brown (who he and the wife clearly detest).

He lets his negative comments leak out and then denies them. What better way to undermine your successor. What a creep he is.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Initially, I found Brown a refreshing and dignified change from Tony Blair. His reticence to appear shaking every famous person the British Ilse have produced a reminder of the gravitas of the role and his reserve a release. It is true, I prefer Brown to Blair.

I use to sometimes go and watch Cherie Booth in court where she appeared as a Recorder. It was quite a dull really.

Tony Blair has done no more or no less than what 99% of politcians do
    feather their own nest.
Tony is laughing all the way to the bank with all the millions he`s "earning".
Brown wanted his job for years and now he`s got it,what a mess.
    Tony`s laughing his socks off.

... I'm no fan, but at least Tony had 'something' about him - Gordon seems a bit vacant and reactive.
