Following on from Dreamcatcher73's post yesterday 'One positive thing a day' http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1628829 , what is everyone going to do today that's positive?
Personally, I am going to take my little girl to playgroup this morning and sit and watch her have fun running round and playing with the other children.
Oh and also withdraw more money from my bank account in preparation for emptying it prior to BR next week

Morning!
My positive action for today will be to package my ebay sales up ready for posting tomorrow. I am so pleased, one pair of jeans which were going to end up down the charity shop are currently selling for £16.50! That brought a smile to my face this morningBSC No: 2450 -

Yes think i should get into it too. I am on the buying side:o but not the selling. Certain memebers of this forum;) have been telling me to get into it for the last 12 months.
Slightly off track but.... my daughter(rents her own house, shes 27) is the bury your head in the sand sort. She got behind with her CT when she was in a flat and they did an AOE. When she moved into the house i opened a co-op account in my name which she has her wages paid into and i pay her bills. The cash she gets from her lodgers is her's to spend on whatever, her wages pays all bills. Well yesterday i rang the CT office to check why such a small amount(usually £30,this wk£10)had only been taken. Yes you have guessed it she is clear:j. When i rang her she was sooo pleased "first time in 4 years mum". I know lots of you will say i am doing her no favours by doing her money managing for her...but after bailing her out...having her in tears.....worrying about her getting into big trouble;). It is much better for me (selfish maybe:rolleyes:) to do this at this moment in time. Yes there will be a time when she has to learn to manage herself....and it won't be long coming either, that i can promise. Sorry but wanted to share that and it is a positive thing...sort of.lolFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

That's fantastic news Dalip! :j
My sister looks after her sons finances, he is 21, he is self employed and if she did not do this for him he would never save gthe money for the tax man etc. This way, his bills are paid on time and he knows exactly how much money he can spend on himself.
Personally I wouldn't look after my son's wages as I am crap with my own money! lol Maybe I should get him to look after mine?! :rotfl::rotfl:BSC No: 2450 -
Good stuff Dalip!
Well positive actions for me today:
- List a few more bits on eBay
- More job searching this morning, try and apply for at least another 5 jobs
- 10m run (doing London Marathon next weekend!!!)BSC No. 2540 -
im going to ring the council and complain about the so called "Structural Repairs" that have caused more damage than it fixed. Plus the workmen are inconsiderate b*stards, they have broke my Sensored light out the back, not replaced the washing line they have taken down. The vibrations in the walls even made the plug to the washer come out of the socket!!! Plaster has fallen off the walls, the idea was to retie the brickwork. Kinda Ironic.
Ho and Im going back up the allotment to do some more digging."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"
