AQA Query's

Options
Hi, hope I've got the right place for this.

At the moment I am looking hopefully in joining the AQA group as it seems a great way to earn a bit of extra cash, especially being home pretty much 24/7.

My one big concern in reading up about it all however is the self-employed status. Now I've yet to received the infomation and application from them but I'm keen to know as much as possible as soon as possible so thought I'd ask you knowledgeable people :)

So any information on how the self employment process works witht them would be great.

Thanks.

Hi Ladywhisper, I don't know much about it either but you might find some help on the Debt Free Wannabe board, there's a thread about self employment there. Hope that helps and all the best with your application. I'm applying too :D

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
  • Good luck to you too.

Could I put a call out to possibly move this board to Debt Free Wannabe please?? ^^
  • Could anyone , please , PM me and let me know what AQA is and what sort of work. THANKS!
  • AQA is a text-answering service. Quite simply, customers text any question to 63336 and you, as a researcher, answer it. You choose your hours, there are no set shifts. I often log on at 4am to answer a few questions. They are recruiting at the moment - http://www.aqa.63336.com/vacancies.htm

As for self-employment, it's very easy to register as self-employed with HMRC. You'll need to do a self-assessment at the end of each tax year, which was a bit hard-going the first time, but now I've done one, the next should be quite easy. There's not much else to it, really.

Hi there, just ring your local tax office and they should be able to set you right. It's not very complicated, you just need to say when you set up as an AQA researcher. They will send you some info on national insurance contributions and remind yio to fill in a tax return next year etc. Nothing to be afraid of, certainly don't let it put you off signing up with AQA- a reputable company, pay on time etc. Hope this helps a little.

    Dear Nicola
Thank you for your interest in AQA 63336 and for undertaking the test.
As mentioned previously, the success of your application depends on the results of the researcher test. This is marked according to content, length, spelling, punctuation and grammar. Strict adherence to the test rules is also required.
Having reviewed your results thoroughly, I’m afraid that we have decided not to take your application further.
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications, we regret that we are unable to provide individual feedback on the contents of tests or test scores.
Please note that applicants may not reapply within 6 months and, if they fail a second time, future applications will not be considered.
Thank you for applying and I wish you luck in your future career.
    Kind Regards
    Rowina

Got email yesterday , Oh well that's me out then , I thought my answers , punctuation and spelling were good and all within the guidelines

Do you answer the questions on line, or on your own mobile:confused:

You get sent an email with attatchments (test, application form, information). One of these is on excel and has information and the test which you email back after with the application for.

Bad luck nicola00, better luck next time. I'm not holding my breath myself, worth a try though.
