Quidco Advice - Sorry if I've Posted on the Wrong Board

Hello :hello:

I have just joined Quidco and I need to clarify something. Please feel free to point me in the direction of the right board...I have searched (maybe not well enough??) but can't see specific advice.

Is it as simple as this..?

You sign up....you buy something via the Quidco site i.e. a DVD from Play.com....
You wait for your "commission"..?
Do you have to get *other* people to buy things and use your name...?

Excuse me if I am being a bit dim..but if someone has just a few salient points to guide me with, I'd *really* appreciate it as I am now going for the 'every penny really does count!' approach and no mistake!

(I just got an offer on a top on EBAY for 75p and I'm even happy about that! :rotfl: )
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

hehe only one bid for 50p for my ebay CD. What am I doing wrong!? (its obviously cak that why I'm selling it!) :rotfl:
  • Yup it is that simple, as long as the purchase shows up as being tracked you'll get paid for it. It can take a while for payments to come throw, but I've just got my first paypal payment from Quidco

OK cool - thanks for affirming it really *is* that simple! :j

However, do you have any advice on making sure it is a *tracked* purchase..?

    Thanks! :o

Scholt - 50p! Better to get the 50p than nothing at all I suppose! Well, probably abut 30p by the time EBAY & payPal get their cut!! Oh well - it's a couple of tins of 'basic' tomatoes eh?!! :rotfl:

  • You'll notice before you go to the site a bit telling you if they've had previous difficulties with tracking. I checked my earning bit as well to see if things did get tracked most appeared to come throw within 48 hours or so. Payment recieved from the website owners comes in dribbles. One tip I have is use it to open a cahoot savings account - I got £25! And remember they charge a £5 a year membership fee - only if you earn any money -so the first £5 a year goes back to quidco -but given their level of pay outs I'm happy - I got £25 for opening a savings account with Cahoot!

one thing you might notice is there is 1p Buy it nows with no postage costs on ebay and quid co pay 75P for each buy it now tracked ..... so for 250 buy it nows (£2,50)you could get £185 I havent tried it as i asume they would pull the offer.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
    Mortgage - £2,000

Hmmm...when I click on the link to Cahoot, it quickly says in the URL bar "GreasyPalm" and then "TradeDoubler" and then nothing happens. Has something bad happened to the website..?

Actually I think it's me. I think I need to do something about my Internet cookie security (or something!) as I have noticed that when I click on links from Google, I get redirected once or twice to some well dodgy sites
before finally getting to my required destination on the third attempt.

I will look at internet options now/clear out cookies etc.

If anyone has any advice on what is happening here...please feel free to let me know! :T
