I'm a bit confused...

I went BR on 30/3/09 and got a call from OR to say I would have a short 20-30 min interview on THU 9/4 at 9am, she called at 6 today and said she had to cancel as she would be out of the office. I said I had booked day off work and she said she would call back next week and arrange a mutually suitable time with me, she also said the interview was nothing to worry about it was just to go over my SOA - she seems a very nice lady:A. In the meantime I was clearing the coffee table and find a big white envelope from OR that has already been opened and re-sealed (I think by my 13 year old son who isn't supposed to know:))
The letter was to sign 3 forms
NTB2
TNIDS
Ethnic Monitoring Form
The most interesting part is that she said
"Upon reviewing the information that you provided to the Court, I have decided that it is not neccessary to interview you at this time. It is possible that for various reasons, I may decide that a formal interview is needed in future. If this happens I will write to you again"
I will send the forms back tomorrow, but I am confused as the woman that rang me is different to the person who sent the letter... could this mean that two OR's are dealing with my case,I donot own my own home have a £400 car and went BR for £53,000???
I have not been asked for any Bank Statements or cards etc, should I have been asked for these when I have been sent this letter?
Maybe I am reading too much into this but some advice would be great...
Thanks,
ROML xx

Maybe my post is a little confusing
but what I am trying to ask is why would I get the pack from OR saying no interview needed dated 1/4 and get a call from OR on 1/4 asking for an interview?

Honestly? I would call them! Just say you had the post through saying no interview, but it contradicts the phone call and can they confirm either way what the situation is.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

Thanks Dalip, it seems that 2 OR people have my case and one thinks no Interview. The lady that phoned did say it was nothing to worry about she would just go through my SOA. I do think that the reasons for bankruptcy statement was very clear and I have not had any new debt for 18 months. Oh well I will bite the bullet and call them n the morning...

Another question, if I was to have no interview would this mean I would keep my car and have no IPA? On my SOA I had about £80 surplus after Child Benefit taken out...

One's probably an examiner, and one your case worker. There will be several people in the food chain dealing with your BR. Give them a call tomorrow and get confirmation, it is possible the interview appointment was an error and the person phoning to cancel didn't want to admit it

I would definitely want to put my mind at rest and find out. I certainly wouldn't pay for any repairs, MOT or tax until I found out if my car was safe.
Good luck.

Hi
I had the same paperwork as you but no phone call. I still dont know if I will have an IPA but did get a letter stating I can keep my car (£550 Volvo)
I would be confused as well if I had recieved a call but one of the forms I signed was allowing them to go through my tax/wages account so I am assuming they are going through my records to see if anything untoward has gone on
( Not guilty My lord
).
Deffo ring in the morning to put your mind at rest and a letter trumps a phone call in my book

Thanks Yellow, When did you go BR? I will be ringing and will post after 9 in the morning - I went BR in RCOJ so I would say it is a very busy OR office...Waiting for defaults to start self managed DMP0
