Morning all.
According to the weather it was supposed to be sunny and bright here at 9am but it doesn't look like the cloud will lift in time. I'm going to have another busy day today:
1. one load of washing in the machine (to be hung outside when finished)
2. one load of washing to put in the machine - then line dry when finished
3. go through junk cupboard in bathroom and declutter - why did I save 8 empty bottles of shampoo and 6 empty bottles of conditioner
4. empty fridge and clean
5. defrost freezer
6. iron some of the ironing mountain
7. try to put my feet up and get rid of some of the swelling in them:o
I had less to do when I was at work full time:rolleyes:

My day off has just gone pear shaped.
I was so pleased when the plumber came about the leaking overflow at 8.45. Though I could do what i want with the rest of the day. However it appears that it is not a ballcock issue but a thermostat one. The hot water is overheating and flowing back into the cold water tank. The cold water tank water is warm.I know have to wait for British gas to come - boiler is insured with them. Anytime between 12 and 6 and they don't phone to say when on the way.
The only other thing it could be is the thermostat on the immersion heater and that would mean a bill.0 -
Morning everyone - my day is off to a good start. The sink has been horrendously blocked for about two months. We have tried everything short of calling the plumber. We've used industrial acid, bleach, one of those prongy wiry things that you wiggle around (it just got stuck and then nearly pulled the sink off the wall!) and all to no avail. However, a miracle has occured overnight and we now have a sink with no blockage - HALLELUJAH!
Feel a good day coming on!0 -
With sick blockages I always find the old bicarbonate soda plus vinegar does a great job of melting everything in it's path.
Morning all, hope everyone is ok. Looks grey here too.Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

morning peeps!
My turn to have the vomiting child last night!
just as i was having a pee before going to bed, erin walks into the bathroom, "mum, move 'm gonna be sick!!" ... well ladies, it's not so easy to just stop y'know! so she had to throw up in the sink, then i told her to move to the toilet... so she sat on the toilet to pee and proceeded to be sick between her feet onto the floor.... she was covered head to toe in it! as were my feet!!
Bearing in mind it was almost midnight, i was delighted... of course! quick shower for her, and back into bed, and she's right as rain this morning! i was going to take the day off with her, as my mum is in Wales, but she wanted to go to school as it's school trip today to wildlife centre... i just hope she doesn't throw up again!! have told her not to tell teacher she was sick as the rules are don't send them for 48hours.... BAD MUM! I KNOW!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
