Hi folks...
Just done a bit of a spring clean in my office and now have loads of old CD's ready to go in the bin.
Anyone have any bright ideas what I could use them for (please don't say coasters...
)
Of will they have to go in the bin?
Thanks
Oh and I can't give them to a charity shop to sell, they are all cd's that I have used to back-up documents and stuff (nothing private especially, just nothing anyone would want to buy)

People with allotments will take them off you. They are good at scaring birds.
Scratch them 1st so the data is not readable.0 -

Depending on your business and what's on the CDs, you may have legal obligations as to how you dispose of them and what documentation you keep to prove this.

When my eldest was at nursery they asked for old CDs so that they could use them for craft - I thought they were going mad, but they made Christmas decorations by covering them in glitter (ok the glitter fell off by the time the tree was down, but it's the thought that counts right?!).
Anyway what I meant to say instead of rambling is ask a local school or playgroup if they want it for craft time.

PS Just so you don't think I'm going mad I Googled CD craft & found this http://www.artistshelpingchildren.org/cdjewelcasescdsartscraftstideaskidsprojects.html0 -
Thanks guys....
Should clarify that I meant my home office, not my work office.0 -
Whereabouts in the Midlands are you? I'd happily take them off your hands for bird-scarers... if the work and I got a good crop I would happily give you some beans in return

What about threading them in lines and attaching each line to a piece of bamboo making a door curtain. I think students do this.£2 Pig has £86 in his Tummy. I am seriuosly Become a O/S Saver0

You can even use the old CDs under the feet of your furniture to protect your carpet. And can glue together to make a wall collage...0

When we redecorated our daughter's bedroom I got photos & cut them into circles then glued onto old cd's then stuck them all over one wall. She loves it & I've since done the same thing in the kitchen using pictures of the family. It's lovely when the sun shines in as the light catches the silver prism effect on the cd's. HTH0
