Daft Eddy's or The Cuan?

I'm thinking about somewhere to go for a Sunday lunch soon, ideally somewhere on the Ards Peninsula where we can get good seafood.
Can anyone tell me what Daft Eddy's is like now - it's been over 10 years since I was last there. I can't find a website for them and I want to find out if they offer a limited set menu for Sunday lunch or a more varied A La Carte.
Another option would be The Cuan in Stangford. Anyone got any opinions on either restaurant?

It's really too long since I've been in either to give a reliable recommendations, but the Quays in Portavogie does excellent seafood

We've been to the Quays before and loved it but I'd heard from a colleague (who lives in Portavogie) that it's not been as good lately.
It's still on the list of possibilities though.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Daft Eddy's is still a very good standard IMHO.0

Balloo...not far from Daft Eddy's would be my choice around that area0

Balloo is nice , daft eddie's was a tip the last time I was there last year.0

Daft Eddys is good. Never had a bad meal and I've been there a lot. They generally have Sunday Specials plus a set lunch menu together with the a la carte.
It has recently been refurbished too.0 -
If you are considering Strangford I would recommend the Lobster Pot. You will get great seafood in there along with great service0

I haven't been to any of the above, but the Spinnaker food is delicious and very well priced too.

I'd thought about The Lobster Pot but someone told me that it had closed.
We decided to venture out for lunch today (as for once it wasn't raining!). I let someone else decide where we would go this time and they opted for The Quays.
I don't think I'll be rushing back. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but nowhere near as good as last time I went. Both my dishes were really 'buttery', overpoweringly so, and we waited a really long time for our first course to be served. I wanted to get the scallops which, according to their menu, are only available in season between November and May. Apparently they are not in season in March
Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll be sure to try one of them next time. I'd never heard of the Spinnaker so I must a point of checking it out.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
