It's a cruddy job but somebody has to do it..... I used to work for a bank many moons ago in a previous life, and I used to think "I'll never get into the kind of debt situation some of our customers are in." Well, as my late mother used to say - you know what Thought did - followed a muck cart and thought it were a wedding.

Don't beat yourself over the head about your job - press on and pay the bills. A better job may come along soon with a different employer.

    Hi tilly

No shame in that hun, you have a job that pays the bills and aren't out robbing cars for your cash so all is good.

I personally don't think that credit companies are the enemy (although they can be !!!!!! at times) - for me it was the way that I used them that was the problem.

Even if you did enjoy it I don't think anyone would think any less of you :)

Any chance of wiping my bill for me? ;)
Seriously though, I only have a Barclay/Goldfish card with a small limit. I only use it to pay a tiny bit to my cheap call provider (18866) and a couple of pounds a month to a file storage site. It's an easy balance to clear in full.
No need to feel bad about working for such a company. We all need to work and if there was no-one in the financial services industry (for all its flaws) then the economy would be in an even bigger mess than it is. No need to apologise for it. You've no more control over what your bosses do than I have over what the Prime Minister does.
Goldfish (since taken over by Barclays) were the first company to slash my credit limit. I wondered what I had done wrong at first before realising that limit slashing was to become a trend. I realise now they were just trying to reduce their exposure before selling the business.
