I'm back!!! Been slightly absent on these pages for a while but I'm back. Moneysaving has been going okay I suppose. I haven't used any credit cards in 3 whole months and although it's good seeing the debt go down it's been quite a struggle. Part of the problem is still the wedding costs. Even though he's paying for most things there's things I've paid for too (cake stand, table decorations, new make up underwear, jewellery) and it's all sort of mounting up. Plus my hen do costs. I've done it as cheaply as possible but I still have to spend money somewhere. It's actually made me a bit depressed that when it comes to it I can't even afford to buy a couple of new outfits for my honeymoon (Iknow some people might say at least you are going on a honeymoon) again he's paying for it all. The way I'm feeling at the moment is that it's all a big financial stress I could do without. I actually borrowed money off him last month to tide me over which I HATE doing so need to pay him back. So the upshot is - I'm not getting into debt via credit cards anymore but I'm finding it a big struggle. Also I left my debit card at home the other day when I got to the till to buy something - I would have automatically reached for my credit card (the safety net) then but red faced had to leave what I was buying on the till and go home. What I also hate most is the embarassment that comes with not being financially savvy. I think F really loves and respects me but what I don't like is the fact that he may not view me as independent financially and being able to stand on my own two feet. Which at the moment I've got to face facts - I'm not doing a very good job. And I haven't learned I really need to sort myself out.

I'm also sick today so I think that's why I'm so doom and gloom about everything. I feel ill!!! I'm off to bed

Hi emelia i was wondering where you went to!! Weddings are stressful i know but try not to let it overwhelm you. At least you are not spending on the credit cards and the debts are coming down slowly. It must be really hard to try and organise the wedding and pay debt at the same time. The thing that annoys me about booking things for your wedding such as music, is as soon as they know its for a wedding the price goes sky high!! Hope the job is going better.
    goodluck

Hi. Glad to see you are battling on still. Just remember that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a good time.
Re petrol, have you checked https://www.petrolprices.com to see if you are getting the best deal on fuel cos as Mr T says "Every little helps"
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

On the work front, the method is take the worse case scenario and handle that, and the others will fall, so look at everything that guys does critically, and if you can find errors/problems not enough through put, manage it, discuss/record/discipline. Make it very obvious you are not going to take any rubbish. Do not back down get your level colleagues and above involved and supporting you, find out if they have had any problems with the guy. If you want to keep earning a higher salary then you have to learn how to manage awkward reportees, and once you have gained a name for being firm but fair and support reportees who do things right, it turns around. I worked for a totally male dominate organisation, only female manager, and reportees mainly male both younger, older, and same age and somewith chips tha weighed down their shoulders. It would be nice to have a "buddy" situation, but rarely it happens, you just need to show them you mean business.

As for hair, try one of the out of town saloons again, and ask them whether they use blonding cream or peroxide, the former is far kind to the hair. Another method to cut down is to try to get an extra weekout of it, i.e. 5 weks instead of 4 or 6 weeks instead of 5, whichever you frequency is, and then after a few months you get a free month.

My tipple is Bicardi/Vodka and Coke, again who knows if the spirit is in there each time, this is as I no longer handle drink as well as I did and is an easy way to stay soberish.

Surely if you are going out on appointments, you should get the mileage you use paid by the company?
