Gift idea's please

Hi, I've been thinking about this for a little while but i still can't decide.
One of my best friends is moving house in a few weeks to live with her boyfriend, as well as moving she'll be starting a new job and moving away from all her friends and family.
I want to send her a gift to say ....hope your settling in new home okay......good luck in your new job........i'll miss you.......stay in touch etc
I am quite crafty and creative but no idea what i could make for this sort of gift, could be something bought - i don't really have a budget - i guess upto about £20 - 30 as its also her birthday near her moving date so plan to combine the two.
I'd be grateful for any ideas (please bear in mind i will need to post it though)
Thanks

Edit : Shes in 20's if that helps

  • If you have to post it then why not make her a dvd? You can pop lots of photos of her with her friends etc on it so she has a little bit of home on it and you could always put one of her favourite songs in the background - a little montage for her.

I think because she is away from home, a photo gift of some sort would be a good idea - photos always make good gifts for new homes too!

To the above DVD you could also include an address book with all her friends and family written inside and possibly some pre-stamped sae's so she can keep in touch with you, and a handmade book of voucher with pages marked IOU a visit when you are settled, IOU help with some painting, etc which she could redeem when she misses you all

One of my friends moved to Wales to live with her boyfriend a while back and we did a photo book.

Took photos of her schools, where she worked over the years, favourite pubs / clubs, places we hung out when we were younger and basically anywhere that had a meaning to us. There were some very very random pictures but they made her laugh / cry as it meant a lot to us.

I took all the photos myself and got it printed by photobox :)

Thats what I thought, A nice box, nice pen, with some lovely writing paper in. A small photo album or the photos stylishly painted on/ glued on ( dont know im SO not crafty but wish I was !) If you have been fun places together you could always get hold of some postcards too, to add. Even the saddest places have postcards :D when I was away at uni freinds sent me postcards of stockport ( my home town) grim pictures of the shopping centre lol and chester zoo :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
