Hi
Have been thinking of what to have for the first dance at our wedding and was wondering what others had for theirs.
I have a few on the list and keep changing my mind:rolleyes:

We had Etta James - 'At last'. We didn't really have a song that meant a lot to us so was just choosing one we both liked really.
What's on your shortlist?

We had "crazy little thing called love" by Queen, we didn't have a special song and that was one we liked and we had a live band that could play it too!0

well;
You have to bear in mind that I am not into soppy slow numbers;)
The one I am thinking of going with is The way you make me feel by Michael Jackson lol.
I also like
Nothings gonna stop us now by Starship
Can`t take my eyes off you.....Boystown Gang version
Baby I love you....The Ramones
And then he kissed me....The crystals
For once in my life....Stevie Wonder
I have a few more I am toying with too:rolleyes:
This is my second marriage and although I don`t want soppy songs I do want the words to reflect how happy I am that I have come through my bad times and my life is perfect with my new man. God love him he has taken on not only me;) but my gorgeous 5 year old son who happens to have autism and it is not an easy road by any means....but in the 2 years we have been together he has never altered in his commitment to us both and has changed our lives for the better
Also I think DS will want to dance with us so a faster song is the key:D0 -
Forgot to say...I am almost 39:eek: so am a 70`s/80s girl at heart0

We had Ive Had The Time Of My Life by Bill Medley And Jennifer Warnes, the one from dirty dancing, but I love the Ramones on your short list - great one0
-
We had 'Come what may' by Ewan McGreggor & Nicole Kidman from 'Moulin Rouge' as I love the lyrics and DH loves the film!
It was so difficult choosing as our tastes are poles apart - also in the running was 'I can't help falling in love with you' by Elvis Presley but that didn't go down too well! :rotfl:.

We had 'soul man' at our wedding  Not at all romantic
My friends had disco inferno
which went on for ever but has got to be suitable for a 70s fan

We had Stand by Me by Ben E King .
It is my all time favourite song, and hubby said I could have it if he could have Kenny Rodgers the Gambler as the 2nd dance !!!The two best things I have done with my life

'all possibilities' by badly drawn boy because of the lyrics, and i listened to it over and over once at a very difficult time a few years ago - before it was used on the bloomin telly in an advert (was it comet or curry's LOL)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!
To avoid all evil, to do good,
to purify the mind- that is the
teaching of the Buddhas.0
