    If anybody had posted on this Board a year ago that Base Rate would be 1% they would have been laughed off the Board.
    Who knows what the future holds?

    wow thanks for all he replies. I'm happy with the 4.29%, as i say i can afford a SVR and take a hit or two on the rate but as everyone has pointed out the fixed aspect is a certainly something that appeals to me.
