The only "Basics" fruit item I have not been pleased with were the bluberries I got last week at £1 a pack. They were a bit hard and not much taste to them. Unfortunately, thinking them a bargain, I got three packs - one to eat and two to freeze. Maybe cooking them will give them a bit more taste."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I find the apples, plums and also basic carrots to be fine. In fact i got some regular priced apples in sainsburys supposed to be Cox's and they most definitely were not cox's apples, tasted awfulMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I started buying frozen blueberries (and frozen mixed berries in winter). I eat a few of them nearly every day because of their 'superfood' reputation (and because I like them )and find it is much more cost effective. I just take a small handful out each time and defrost them in a bowl on the radiator while I eat my main course!0
