Does anyone have any good ideas for meals that are easy to adapt for the meat eaters and veggies in my house?
Tomorrow I will probably do toad in the hole, so thats easy with veggie sausages for the vegetarians. I make the bolagnaise, chilli, shepards pie etc with one beef one tvp or lentil. But..does anyone have any more bright ideas for easy adaptions as I need some new inspiration.

When I do the sunday roast, I do myself a few falafel. They go really well with gravy and roasties.0

My dd is the only veggie in our house. but I still do her the same as we're having - I just substitute with the veggie range from sainsbury, last night we had chicken (chicken style pieces for dd) stir fry veggies in sweet chilli sauce, vegetable spring rolls - we all like those and rice
Tonight we are having Shepherds Pie and cauli cheese - I just make hers with Veggie mince.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi, we're not veggies, but we like onion, potato and cheese pie. I put bacon in it sometimes, but its just as yummy without. I like veggie food but my hubbie is not keen, he likes his meat, so if I want to try one out I put bacon or ham in.Toughest form of moutain climbing is climbing out of a rutI WILL be debt free!I WILL be happy!red pen member 40

We're all technically meat eaters but we eat veggie several times a week. How about a really good veg dish that will feed the vegetarian(s) and then some meat 'on the side'? For instance, sometimes I do a platter with leftover cold lamb, hummous, felafel, salad and pitta bread, or I might do a vegetable and bean chilli, rice, and a couple of hm burgers on the side.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000

Yes, I do this too. A nice veggie bake from the oven, or a ratatouille with chick peas or beans - with lamb chops or a plate of chicken drumsticks on the side, for example."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
I often do a quiche, using a short-crust pastry base, and put in sliced tomato, some Quorn chicken-style pieces, grated Extra Mature Cheddar cheese, and a mix of 4 fl oz cream, 2 large eggs and a good helping of fresh-ground black pepper, this mix to be poured over the top. Bake at 190 C for 45 mins.
I adapted the recipe from one I saw in the Daily Telegraph, which actually used diced ham not Quorn, so it qualifies as meaty/veggie.

You could do sausage and bean casserole but just do the beasn first then split into two and add vege sausages to one and meat sausages to the other.
Do stuffed peppers and just don't add any meat to the vege one.
Make pizzas and have bowls of toppings and then everyone can have their own pizza!

I make a nutmeat loaf for my veggie DD. I freeze it in slices and reheat when we have roast dinner. It is good in sandwiches too.
Finely chop 2 onions
2 cloves garlic
2oz mushrooms
and fry in 2oz marge
Add 1/2 tsp rosemary, 1/2tsp basil, 1/2tsp celery seeds
Add big tsp marmite, 1hpd tbsp flour and 1/4 pt stock.
Cook until thickens.
Add 2 beaten eggs, 8oz walnuts or mixed nuts,4oz soft breadcrumbs.
Put in greased loaf tin cover with foil and cook 160oc for 1 hour.

Veggies and meat-eaters alike are usually pleased to devour a well-made chickpea curry. Somerfield magazine (Feb issue) has a surprising number of vege recipes this month.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
