Hope the snow doesn't affect my OR phonecall!

Due to get my OR phonecall very shortly. Only started a new job this week and took a half day today for my call which was okay but I don't think I'll be able to do it next week if required. So I hope my OR lives near to the office they are going to be calling from. It is an absolute whitewash here. I've already seen on the TV the trouble on the A40 and M5. Luckily I don't have far to walk when I go to work in the afternoon. Hope the same is true of my OR. It's been bad enough counting down the hours to today's call, don't think I could handle a new countdown, want it over and done with!
Anyone elses been disturbed by the snow this week or are the OR a hardy bunch who don't let the weather conditions get in their way?!!!

Hi PockettMoney -
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but Yes a few people have had problems and there has been some rescheduling. One lucky person had a "substitute" examiner and the interview lasted 5 minutes - oh for one of those.
I hope your interview isn't affected and Good Luck.

Bum. I'll have to explain rescheduling isn't an option! I won't be able to get another half day for a while. And I won't be able to take the call at work.0

You sound just like me - a place for everything and everything in its place!!
I would be exactly the same...... why does bad weather bring this country to a grinding halt?
What time is your interview?

My phone interview was on monday, it was bad weather then but it still went ahead.
Hubby was due to go in for face to face interview but that got put off until friday 13th urgh.
Good luck for today, im sure it will be fine0 -
10am! That's the only reason I'm worried. Looking at the news the travel system in the Gloucestershire region is a nightmare. Unless they live centrally I think they might have trouble getting to work. At least all the schools are closed so that takes some people off the roads. A lot of the villages round here are totally cut off! 8 inches in places. Snow, that is.0

If it was me, I would leave it until 10.15am and if I hadn't heard anything I would give the office a ring. It will put you out of your misery.
You might actually get the call at 10am on the dot..... fingers crossed!

Yes. Im sure they will call. But if not I'm not planning on leaving it too long before ringing them direct. If it turns out they do want to interview me though they'll have to call back, only have about 50p of credit left on my phone!!!0

Too right, I am panicking a bit because my cordless phone only carries about 50 mins charge of talk time - any more and the line just goes dead......
