Question about CCJ's

Hi and good morning.
Can anyone help?
Got myself in a financial mess when I was at uni and still suffering for it 8 years later!
Slowly getting myself out of the mess.
Credit report all recently very good and lots of green 00000's.
I have 2 defaults - both due to drop off later this year.
Have a CCJ registered in Nov 2003. The six years for this is up in November this year.
Thing is I was contacted about this once and having head in sand never did anything about it. To this date I have heard nothing more and have never paid it.
Putting aside the moral issues, do you think it would be worth just keeping quiet about it? Will it simply drop off in November paid or not?
Advise?

as far as i know CCJ's drop off your report after 6 years but the company concerned can still request payment from you and enforce the CCJ with courts permission.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

So perhaps I should keep quiet but stash the cash incase it comes to get me? Can they re register the CCJ for another 6 years and out it back on my credit file?0

Nope they can only register it once.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Really???? I thought they could register it again??
So basically what would happen if come November it rears it's ugly head and they try to enforce it? Would it be a case that I would need to pay it but it wouldn't be on my file?
I know this sounds terrible and I suppose I am trying to "dodge" some debt - but it really is a case of not wanting to draw attention to something!0 -
I've always been dubious about this, but............
How will a CCJ affect my credit rating?Your CCJ will appear on your credit file for 6 years (if it takes you more than 6 years to repay the CCJ, the creditor will re-register it with the credit reference agencies). However, your credit rating will already be affected by the fact you have not paid the contractual payments, which has resulted in you receiving a CCJ. Your CCJ won't show on your credit file if you pay it in full within 30 days.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Oh - what to do?
Do I call and offer to pay or just keep quiet.
If I don't pay and then they reregister it - would they contact me first? Would I have the option to pay in 30 days and not have it on my file?0
