So they made a net profit of over $4.18bn in the last quarter.
Is it me or does it seem a bit ludicrous that when a company makes that kind of money in 1 quarter, it still feels the need to slash jobs?0 -
UK jobs or not ?.
I can't tell, all monetary figures are in dollars and this is not a .uk site."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

Microsoft received several millions or billions in Hank Paulson's bank 800 billion dollar bail-out last September, part of the "pork barrel" incentives to senators' pet projects to persuade them to vote for Paulson's scheme. The money was to be for R & D, allegedly.YouGov: £50 and £50 and £5 Amazon voucher received;
PPI successfully reclaimed: £7,575.32 (Lloyds TSB plc); £3,803.52 (Egg card); £3,109.88 (Egg loans)0 -

In fact if i had 100 billion dollars i don't think i would be happier than i am now, the problem bill gates has is that it is probably impossible for him to get rid of his money now.0 -
Are you out of your mind man? OK, you may be very happy right now, but surely 100 billion would a certain little extra to your life? For example - you could employ a team of people to write crap on here, and do something else instead.mr.broderick wrote: »..if i had 100 billion dollars i don't think i would be happier than i am now...0 -

I am happy now but i have been happier. I think if i had a million pounds i would be happy but if i had 100 billion pounds i wouldn't be happier than if i had just 1 million. It is difficult to discuss this as i will probably never have 1 million pounds so i am just guessing how i would feel. The happiest i have ever been (apart from my children being born) is when ole gunnar solskjaer scored in barcelona in 1999. Nothing will make me happier than that.0 -
