Checked my bank account last night, and my OD is now under £2000 :j :j :j I know that my CC will also be under £2000 when the next bill comes in. This means that in 2 months I will have paid off nearly £800 without having done anything extra, and without taking my (missing) pub wage into account.

I have decided to ask the landlord for a cash advance on my wages. Like others said, it's been going on long enough now. Work isn't fun when you don't get paid for it!

Enjoying my snow day, but wondering if a day off due to weather is better than a day with no pay. I'm beginning to think it's the latter!

sounds like you are doing well at the min. Are you going to apply for the job? if you have a permenant job when you adopt then you should get paid leave for a few months. You do in the NHS so i imagine your leave allowance will be similar.

I love the snow too but ours has almost gone.

    I GOT PAID!!!
    At blinkin' bloomin' last! :D

I've given OH £50 towards his Christmas Present. (We bought each other 1/2 a Wii, but I've not paid for the half I gave him yet...)

What else is good? Well, I've lost 7lb since January 2nd. It helps that we don't have lots of snacks etc round the house anymore, and that I have the Wii Fit too! :)

I'm using my pub wages to do stuff that I need/want to - as well as paying for the weekly shop out of it! So... this week - Riverdance, Haircut, Eyebrow Wax, Bottle of Sherry (my sister is a sherry fiend, and she's coming to visit!) and possibly an interview top. - Yes, I'm applying for the job. It may restrict my holiday time, but a £15000 pay rise, permanent job, and enough money to move to somewhere bigger is too much to pass by!

    Wish me luck! :)

Awwwww, I've just seen Riverdance and it was so much better than I expected! (Yes, it did live up to the hype!)

And... OUTLAW mother told me that it was her treat for all the help and support I've given her over the past year. How lovely was that?

So, that's £41 saved. tbh - I hadn't realised quite how much the tickets were! That means I can have a PROPER haircut! Wash, head massage, cutblow-dry, - the full £27 works! :D

    Made it!!!!
I have now got my debts to under £4000 - that's nearly £800 paid off in just under a month! Both my CC and my OD read at under £2000. I am so excited!

I can't believe that by just cutting out the trash I'd normally buy, and making sure I pay off bits of CC weekly, I could make such a difference!

I am going to have to go back to the snowballer soon and see if I've made any difference to my DFW date. (I believe that when I did it last time, I considered myself to have about £300 a month to give to my debts. Now not only have a paid off more than double that, I have also saved £100 this month, to cover the school holidays when I don't get paid!)

Just wanted to share - now I'm off to work. :)
