Made a chocolate cake but don't know what to do for a topping? Please, please help

    I would try creaming the caster sugar and marg with some of the cocoa until a nice spreading consistency and then cover the top of the cake with this.

    yes thats what I meant - we shorten it to evap - my parents and DH parents always have so we do too!
