Well one of the couples who viewed the house put in an offer which was rejected and we have the other couple coming for a second viewing tomorrow.

May well be panicing next week as there are no houses in the area we wish in our price range and we may have sold ours!!!! Fingers crossed at least 1 house comes on in our price range soon.

Made another overpayment of £80 making the total for March £470. I am doing better overpayments at the moment but this will change if we manage to see a house we like and are able to buy.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the 2nd viewing

I keep looking at houses "over budget" so BF keeps reigning me in

But no harm in looking is my motto

    Good luck!

  • Hope the viewing goes well. If the worse came to the worse you could always rent for a few months. By that stage the houses you are looking at may well have come down a bit more.

Well we got an official increased offer for our house and have accepted this - so the moving date at the moment is 18th June (3mths). Yikes as there are not a lot of 3 bed on the market in the area we want (all to do with schools of course).

Not panicing yet but will be soon no doubt.

Going to 2nd view a house tomorrow with hubbie and dad doing a survey to let me know if house ok and price wise (he is a surveyor - handy to know!!). Anyway not sure about this as been speaking to them and they are hoping for £175-£180k when the Home Report is only at £175K. I was thinking of lower as you have to replace the kitchen as in a terrible state, I would probably have to completely decorate and replace bathrooms eventually. Need to decide tomorrow if its worth the money and effort in the long run as its in the right location for us. The other thing that they are going with EA next week (brochure being prepared at the moment) so will probably need to put offer in with the EA and not sure if they will accept any offers if only on the market recently.

going to another viewing later in the afternoon but its £10k more than our increased budget but looks as it is in walk in condition. It has been on the market for I think nearly 2yrs but we will see what EA says as they were nicer to hubbie than me (he told them that we had nothing to sell as offer accepted).

    We will see what happens

Great news on the offer on your house.

I really need to get my house on the market as seeing more and more houses on Rightmove now its spring, this year it seems that more people are confident to move house.

I'm selling a 3 bed house if you're interested (completly wrong area :))

Last friday we accepted an offer on our 2 bed house. On Tuesday afternoon we 2nd visited a house we had decided against the 1st time, anyway a few of the things which put us off can be rectified hopefully within a month, so we put in an offer on friday and managed to get this house.

Good sturdy 3 bed detached house and we can put our own stamp with decorating and doing a few different things to it as well as doing up the back garden to be child friendly. So we are trying to bring the date entry to begining of June since this house is empty and our buyers were desperate to move in early that the original date agreed. Need to secure the mortgage deal with our lender since we now have found a house - fingers crossed the home report amended is ok.

Daughter birthday was yesterday and she had a great time at nursery. Today (me, dad, DD, Great Gran, Nana, Papa, Gran, Grandpa, Uncle) went bowling and back to the house for lunch and cake - it was good and DD loved it.

Not going to be making any overpayments for April or May - will put money in the bank and pay end June after moving date so we are still accounting for this whilst we can - we will probably not make my target set for this year or MFIT2 since we have increased the mortgage but hope to continue with small overpayments.

Had a good Easter weekend - went out with mum & dad, hubbie & daughter to roll our eggs down a hill, had a pinic in the car and had a stroll to the shops and daughter liked the park.

Our house sale is progressing well and we will be out of here 2nd June - time is nearing fast so will need to start to collect boxes etc.

Regarding the house we are trying to buy - we only have a verbal from the EA - nothing written confirmation from their solicitor regarding our written offer. we will need to find out what is happening tomorrow re this from the EA as not sure what is happening and if we have to starting looking at more 3 bed houses. We have an appointment with our lender tomorrow to go through the mortgage application and secure the mortgage rate - I just hope we have a bit of a clearer picture of what is happening before we have our meeting in the morning with Nationwide.

Was getting a bit carried away with lists of things to do when we move in I just hope that this has not juinxed it.
